never heard of a sweet keeper, but I love those words together. Where does the phrase come from?
I think the name comes from its characteristic of keeping a long time in the root cellar. And it is also sweet. Anyway, it’s a lovely looking squash, quite large, dull green outer skin, deep orange flesh. It’s probably known by other names too.
oh! I think I have one of those, actually. I thought it was a hubbard squash, but I don’t much beyond butternut, acorn, and crookneck.
